Kids Introduction
Our Kids Martial Arts curriculum was exclusively designed to meet the needs of developing children aged 3-12. Through extensive experience working with children, Kru Mel has developed a kid’s curriculum which will maximize children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development while ensuring maximum progression in the martial arts. This means that each student will have a safe and beneficial experience.
Children aged 3-12 are in a unique developmental period in their life and at Lanna MMA we try to establish a foundation for basic fundamental skills which are imperative to healthy and successful development.
Healthy and successful development
- focus
- cooperation
- control
- balance
- memory
- discipline
- fitness
- coordination.
These 8 skills are vital in order to ensure success in Martial Arts and other sporting activities. Through constant exposure to these skills, we create an environment which will ensure successful development for your children. The kids program runs on a grading system which makes sure that as each child progresses, they are met with more intense and advanced exposure to these developmental skills.
At Lanna MMA we guarantee that your child will have a positive experience, benefit from their training, and have a lot of fun in the process!
The Lanna Kids program is also involved in demonstrations, and community events. Kru Mel and the rest of the team put together choreographed demonstrations that are featured in our in-house events.
Seminars are also an important part of our program. We have world-class instructors, like Ajahn Burklerk Pinsinchai, who take time to come to Lanna MMA to share their world-class technique, and extensive knowledge of Muay Thai with our kids. Parents are also invited to take part in some important seminars, like “Stranger Danger”, “Anti-Bullying”, and “Parents’ Pad Holding”, so parents can help their kids at home.

About a year ago, I was looking for a school for my 5yr old son to start learning martial arts. I phoned a few places but none of them convinced me. Eventually, I found Lanna Mixed Martial Arts; I went in and my son got to try a free class. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the school, the school's atmosphere, the discipline, and what true Martial Arts was really like. Right away I enrolled him, and from then on I enjoyed watching him learn and develop new skills in what for us has now become an important part of our lives.
